With Anthony Joshua’s fight with Kubrat Pulev now being delayed by a month or potentially more, promoter Eddie Hearn spoke with the Premier League side stating that he was, “hoping June 20 can remain the date,” but “…there are already potential plans to move that fight back to July.” As of today, it has been confirmed that the new date for this fight will be postponed to July 25th due to coronavirus concerns – according to dailymail’s Mail Online.

Initially, Joshua was set to fight Jarrell Miller in June 2019, but due to Miller failing his drugs test…it was called off. Prior to the fight’s cancellation last year, a set of teaser clips were released to fans of Joshua and Miller on the ‘Gloves Are Off’ program. Instead, those fans were swiftly let disappointed following the news of the cancellation and rather than facing Miller, Joshua was set against Andy Ruiz Jr…and we all remember how that turned out.
Just yesterday it was revealed that promoter Eddie Hearn revealed his plan to get Joshua and Miller aired on ‘Gloves Are Off’ following discussions with Sky Sports!
With fights in the pipeworks for late July time, their old bitter rivalry may get a chance this year to decide who will lose…and who will be the victor!
