Conor Mcgregor is set to make his return to the octagon this Saturday against Donald Cerrone but a return to the UFC is not all the Irishman has his eyes set on.
During an interview with ESPN, Conor Mcgregor was asked if he would like to have another boxing match before he retires. Mcgregor revealed he would love the rematch with Floyd Mayweather saying
‘I done phenomenal in that bout, and the only reason I lost that bout was because I prepared, I prepared for a back footed phillyshell style of the opponent and when the fight was like that I was picking him apart, then he came forward and started pressing and I wasn’t sinking into my shots like I am now’
He seemed confident stating ‘it will happen, it’s gonna happen again’
Mcgregor also revealed talks for a fight with Manny Pacquiao have been ongoing. Mcgregor said ‘We’re actually close to signing Manny’ but when pressed for further information he said ‘there are just negotiations going on’
Mcgregor also expressed an interest in a bout with Paulie Malignaggi. Will we see Conor Mcgregor put on the boxing gloves again in 2020?
