The winner of 2 out of 3 fights remains undecided while we wait for this pandemic and lockdown to eventually come to its long-awaited conclusion; meanwhile, Tyson Fury continues to gloat. According to Boxingnews24.
Two months have passed since his victory over his last fight with Deontay Wilder yet Fury proceeds to gloat. Reflecting on his social media just a few days ago (7th April 2020) Fury posted a picture of Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz Jr, Dillian Whyte and Deontay Wilder in a collage with himself in the center of the picture with a crown. In this post he highlighted his boastful pride, reminding these professional boxers of their losses amid a climate where boxing sits still and motionless; where fights are all being postponed/canceled.
Even recently on Good Morning Britain, Fury states, “I’ll be obliged to give him a bit more” as he suggests another victory over Wilder while we all sit and wait for the end to the trilogy due October.
Fury had this same attitude following his win over Wladimir Klitschko, but as the saying goes, ‘pride comes before a fall’. Will this be the case with Fury and Wilder’s third and fight encounter?
While we wait patiently for this coronavirus crisis to blow over, there is some hope: at least the trilogy highlight is due to end at the end of the year.
Though how long might we have to wait if this pandemic continues? Months? Years? For now, we’ll have to wait and see…
