In an interview with Kugan Cassius of IFLTV after her fight with Da Silva, Amanda has confirmed she would be happy to fight Katie Taylor in the U.K. with Kugan asking “How confident are you that you will beat Katie Taylor?” see the short interview below:

Undisputed middleweight Champion, Claressa Shields has given her detailed thoughts on the fight saying she believes a fight at 140lbs would be “50/50”. In an interview with Chris Mannix of DAZN immediately after the fight between Serrano and Da Sliva in Miami, Shields said-

“I think that Amanda holds the power there, but Katie, as we all know, has great skills and very great hand speed. But Amanda has been around for many, many years and she has a lot of experience. She’s a seasoned fighter, so I think that Katie Taylor don’t really do well with pressure fighters and I feel like Amanda can do that game plan and also take what Katie Taylor’s giving back, and have some defense, maybe she can come out the winner. But if Katie can adjust to fighters attacking her, and her having better defense, not just on her feet, but on her upper body, I think that she could win. So, it’s a really 50-50 fight between both girls.”

The 02 in London looks to be the favorite destination of Taylor and Eddie Hearn to host the fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano which could take place at the end of March this year, however, Hearn has mentioned in a previous interview with IFLTV that the fight could also take place in April in York, also in the U.K.

No matter where the fight takes place expectations are high that it will be a great match-up.
