Kirstie Bavington Defends European, Headlines Fightzone Against Unbeaten German

European welterweight champion Kirstie Bavington (6-2-2, 2 KOs) headlines Rotherham’s Magna Centre this Saturday, November 19 against unbeaten German challenger Naomi Mannes (6-0, 4 KOs) live on Fightzone TV in the UK.

Mannes has never been scheduled for more than six rounds in her career so far and this marks a big step up in competition for the German. Bavington upset April Hunter in 2021 which earnt her a European title shot earlier this year where convincingly outpointed Timea Belik.

Wolverhampton’s Bavington recently inked with Dennis Hobson’s Fight Academy and now headlines in her debut for the promotion. Her stable mate Hannah Rankin is also with Fight Academy/Fightzone and was delivered a world title shot last year, something Bavington will be hoping can be replicated for her.

Chief support will be Sheffield’s Keanen Wainwright contesting the WBF International Lightweight Title against Victor Julio, while the undercard will include Sheffield battlers Conner Daubney and Mason Dickinson; Doncaster’s Joe Hayden; Liverpool’s Conor Butler, and Tyne and Wear’s Adam Hepple.
