Tyson Fury has stopped Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas to become the WBC and Ring Belt Champion whilst retaining his Lineal Champion status!
The ‘Gypsy King’ has put on an exhilarating performance in Las Vegas to dethrone the ‘Bronze Bomber’ meaning all the Heavyweight titles are now in the U.K.
Fury was dominant throughout the whole fight with Wilder having little success at all. From only a few seconds into the opening round Fury was already having success with his punishing blows which ultimately lead to Wilder’s corner throwing in the towel in the 7th.
At the end of the fight Fury was seen to show huge respect to his defeated opponent and was heard saying to him “What a fighter you are, Anybody you land on… let me tell you something in that first round Dynamite”
Many big names have taken to social media to congratulate the newly crowned WBC and Ring Belt champ, however, for Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn it’s business as usual with Hearn taking to Twitter showing his immediate interests in making the undisputed fight with fellow Britt Anthony Joshua –
With Tyson Fury now holding the final pieces to the puzzle for Anthony Joshua and with Fury previously saying in many interviews that a fight between him and Joshua needs to happen, are we about to see a British Undisputed Heavyweight?
This is how the World Heavyweight titles are distributed now –
WBO – Anthony Joshua
WBA – Anthony Joshua
IBF – Anthony Joshua
WBC – Tyson Fury
Ring – Tyson Fury
Lineal – Tyson Fury
Maybe before that, we will see a third fight between Wilder and Fury but this time Fury will be the defending champion.
