Caroline Dubois Opponent Tastes Defeat To Domestic Underdog 4 Weeks Before Their Fight

Top prospect Caroline Dubois (5-0, 4 KOs) faces Argentina\’s Yamila Belen Abellaneda (15-5-1, 3 KOs) in what is billed as a \”big step up\” on February 11 at the OVO Wembley Arena, London live on Sky Sports Boxing.

Abellaneda has shared the ring with the likes of Rose Volante, Marie Eve Dicaire, Patricia Berghult and most recently Terri Harper in March 2022, allowing the Argentinian to be sold as a considerable leap in opposition for the 2020 Olympian.

Abellaneda\’s loss to Agoutborde has significantly decreased the value of a win over Abellaneda possesses and unfortunately, this is no longer the test for Dubois it might\’ve been 12 months ago.

With the talent \’Sweet Caroline\’ has, there is no doubt that she can go on to win world titles in multiple weight classes and hopefully we will start to see those step up\’s as the year progresses.

It must be said that Abellaneda has never been stopped and therefore an inside-the-distance win for Caroline Dubois can still raise her stock but, through no fault of the matchmaking, it doesn\’t look like a live opponent will be provided on Feb 11.
