Dennis McCann To Challenge Joe Ham At London’s O2 Arena On Nov 26

Per Source, 21-year-old prospect Dennis McCann (13-0, 7 KOs) will challenge Scotland’s Joe Ham (17-3, 6 KOs) for the vacant Commonwealth Super Bantamweight championship on November 26. (First Reported by International Boxing News)

The card, a Frank Warren/Queensberry Promotions show live on BT Sport, will take place at London’s O2 Arena and be headlined by WBA (Regular) Heavyweight Titleist Daniel Dubois.

McCann had a couple of sub-par performances which left fans considering if his potential was really as high as once advertised, however, he put the haters to bed in July when he became the first person to stop James Beech.

Ham has never been stopped but suffered defeats to Jack Bateson, Qais Ashfaq and Tyrone McCullagh. The Scottish fighter scored a knockdown against McCullagh and put up a competitive performance against Bateson last year.

A convincing victory, especially an inside-the-distance win, over Ham would be another sign of McCann being a special fighter, telling us more about what he could do in the sport and giving him a prestigious title.
