Queensberry NEW Shows, Taylor Serrano Viewership, Ogawa Cordina Undercard, KSI Next Fight

Taylor Serrano Viewership

Global Sports Streaming Service DAZN announced today that the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano mega fight was the most-watched female boxing broadcast ever recording 1.5m Viewers on the platform. DAZN stated that the US, UK, Spain, Canada, Ireland Germany, Australia, Italy Japan and Brazil made up the top 10 countries where it was viewed most. A huge success for DAZN going into their first-ever PPV with the Taylor Serrano viewership going 60% over pre-fight targets.

NEW Queensberry Shows

Due to Queensberry postponing their April 29 York Hall and May 21 Derby shows, it appears they will have two new shows to make up for this and give their undercard fighters the chance to box. The first of which will be May 20 at York Hall topped by Brad Foster vs Ionut Baluta and feature Andrew Cain, Raven Chapman, Sean Noakes, James Heneghan and Mickey Bourke Jr.

The second of which will be a June 11 Card in Telford that is expected to be headlined by Liam Davies vs Marc Leach for the British Super Bantamweight Title. The undercard fighters that missed out on the two postponed shows and won’t feature on the May 20 York Hall card are expected to box on this date including Eithan James

Ogawa Cordina Undercard

On Tuesday, Matchroom Boxing officially announced the longtime rumoured fight between Kenichi Ogawa and Joe Cordina for the IBF Super Featherweight Title at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff on June 4 live on DAZN. Ogawa-Cordina Tickets will go on General Sale on Friday and Fight Pass on Thursday.

On the Ogawa Cordina undercard, Middleweight contender Felix Cash will make his ring return. There is no confirmed opponent, but there was a video of him sparring a southpaw last week, which, if it’s anything to go by does narrow down realistic options quite a lot and if you had to make an educated guess on his opponent, you would probably go Andrey Sirotkin.

Super Featherweight contender, Manchester’s Zelfa Barrett is expected to challenge Faroukh Kourbanov for Kourbanov’s European Title on that undercard. A reschedule of their April 16 fight. Heavyweight prospect Solomon Dacres is also rumoured to be on this card. Galahad was supposed to feature on the Taylor Serrano card at first and then here, but it appears he will return in July either at 130 or 135.

KSI announced today that his next boxing match would take place on the 27 of August. No Venue or opponent was released and this marks his first fight since November 2019. Rival Jake Paul is expected to return two weeks earlier Stateside.
