Florian Marku’s Reoccuring Hand Injury Could See Him Out Of The Ring For Another 6 Months Reveals Shane Watson
Unbeaten 30-year-old Albanian Welterweight Florian Marku (12-0-1, 7 KOs) might not return to the ring until the middle of next year, S-Jam Management’s Shane Watson revealed to International Boxing News on Saturday.
Shane Watson “Florian Marku will be out like mid next year I think. He needs to take a bit of a break from boxing, hand injury – it’s a reocurring problem as well. I want him to be out maybe like April/May next year”
Fury vs Chisora 3 Undercard: Full Breakdown
Marku competed twice in 2022 including a 4th-round TKO win over former British champion Chris Jenkins and then he got off the canvas to narrowly outpoint Mexico’s Miguel Parra Ramirez in his second outing of the year, an Albanian stadium homecoming, back in August.
The Albanian has been linked with a clash with Britain’s Chris Kongo, both of whom are with Ben Shalom’s BOXXER, but Kongo tells NoSmokeBoxing that Marku isn’t interested in a fight between the pair despite Kongo’s team requesting it on multiple occasions.
