Queensberry Promotions Make Anthony Joshua Offer To Face Tyson Fury In November
Fight Hub TV’s Marcos Villegas today revealed via Twitter that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed to him that on behalf of Joshua he did receive terms from Fury’s promoter Frank Warren for Anthony Joshua to face Tyson Fury next.
Hearn had no issues with the 60/40 split and the rematch clause imposed by team Fury but stated that Joshua couldn’t be ready for the offered date of November 12. Hearn accepts the fight for December 17, the date Fury was rumoured to look to fight Usyk.
Fury initially said he was fighting in December but in the last 24 hours, that has somehow changed to the first half of November. It is worth noting that Joshua fought on August 20 and November 12 is nine weeks away with him likely having no intention to be back in camp.
Interestingly, Warren stated the offer was for the fight to take place in the UK. Due to the weather in the UK at that time of the year, it would have to take place in an indoor stadium. The Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which has been used for several boxing events when an outdoor stadium is not an option, has been booked for all four Saturdays in November including the offered date of Nov 12.
