World Title Challenger Michal Cieslak Gets European Shot On Big Night For Polish Boxing
The European Boxing Union (EBU) confirmed on Tuesday that Poland\’s two-time world title challenger Michal Cieslak (23-2, 17 KOs) and France\’s Dylan Bregeon (12-2-1, 3 KOs) will meet for the vacant European Cruiserweight championship on the 25th of February, 2023.
Cieslak vs Bregeon will take place in Rzeszow, Poland on the undercard of the WBC Bridgerweight championship contest between Colombia\’s defending title holder, Oscar Rivas and Polish challenger Lukasz Rozanski.

The KnockOut Promotions group won the purse bids for the vacant title fight between Cieslak and Bregeon. Former champion Chris Billam-Smith vacated the belt due to his mandatory challenger being Bregeon, who he had already convincingly outpointed in 2021 and their rematch wouldn\’t be commercially viable.
Cieslak came to the UK earlier this year to challenge for Lawrence Okolie\’s WBO Cruiserweight title, losing a wide decision. Cieslak is considered one of the biggest commercial draws in Poland which was clearly visible in his fight with Okolie in February and will be hoping to land another big fight in the UK against the likes of Richard Riakporhe and Billam-Smith.
