Mickey Ellison vs Thomas Whittaker Hart Rematch To Take Place March 11

Mickey Ellison-Thomas Whittaker Hart Rematch Set For Callum Smith Liverpool Card

Promoter Steve Wood (VIP Boxing) confirmed to his YouTube channel that central area light heavyweight champion Mickey Ellison would fight on a Matchroom show that will take place on Saturday, March 11 at the 9,000-capacity M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England live on DAZN.

NoSmokeBoxing has now confirmed that Ellison (14-4, 5 KOs) will rematch Tony Bellew-managed, Liverpudlian prospect Thomas Whittaker Hart (7-1). Ellison successfully defended his title against Hart via an upset decision win in London last October, Whittaker Hart now gets a shot at revenge on home turf.

Former world super middleweight champion Callum Smith (29-1, 21 KOs), who is the WBC’s mandatory challenger at light heavyweight, will headline the card in a ‘keep busy’ fight before challenging the winner of Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde for the WBC, IBF and WBO 175-pound belts.

Britain’s Robbie Davies Jr (23-3, 15 KOs) and Australia’s Liam Paro (23-0, 14 KOs) will meet in a super lightweight contest. Paro is the WBO’s #2 ranked contender at 140 and is patiently awaiting his chance at a world title. A career-changing opportunity arises here for Davies as an upset win in what is a winnable fight will put him straight into the mix for a world title shot.

Also on the card, one of the world’s leading prospects, 21-year-old Californian Diego Pacheco (17-0, 14 KOs) will make his UK debut against fan favourite, Little Lever’s Jack Cullen (21-3-1, 9 KOs) over ten rounds at super middleweight. Both undercard fights were first reported by NoSmokeBoxing

Johnny Fisher, Aqib Fiaz and Paddy Lacey are all expected to feature on the night with an announcement imminent.
