Doncaster\’s IBO Lightweight Champion Maxi Hughes (25-5-2) revealed today that American Lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia (22-0) would probably face Dominican Republic\’s Javier Fortuna (37-3-1) on July 16 Live on DAZN (possibly in Texas or California).

Maxi Hughes was under the impression that both himself and Javier Fortuna were under consideration for the fight after Isaac Cruz denied but Golden Boy Promotions have gone with Fortuna who has a bigger name in the USA.

Both Hughes and Fortuna were options NoSmokeBoxing considered for Ryan Garcia Next Fight after he went the 12-round distance against Emmanuel Tagoe in his last outing.
