Matthew Tinker Out, Dan Azeez Receives Last-minute Replacement Opponent

Sources tell EverythingBoxing that Matthew Tinker (8-0) has pulled out his fight with British light Heavyweight champion Dan Azeez this Saturday at the OVO Arena, Wembley on the Riakporhe vs Jumah undercard live on Sky Sports Boxing due to a medical issue.

Dan Azeez (15-0) was signed by Boxxer earlier this month and due to their investment in him and association in Azeez, he will remain on the card. Instead of Tinker, Azeez fights a 48-hour replacement, Reece Cartwright (23-2) over 10 rounds.

Cartwright, the former English Middleweight champion, moved up two weights last November after 3 years out of the ring to face former British Light Heavyweight Champion Shakan Pitters on Channel 5. Cartwright extended Pitters 8 rounds in a fight in which many had him ahead before a controversial stoppage.

Cartwright was in training for an April 3 \’tick-over\’ fight and is a very good replacement for such short notice. Azeez still gets to box courtesy of an excellent last-minute save by Boxxer.
