Jack Flatley Headlines Against Evgenii Vazem – VIP Promotions Preview

Jack Flatley headlines this Saturday\’s VIP promotions show at the whites hotel in Bolton on his second outing since being stopped by Kerman Lejarraga in December last year.

VIP promotions

Boxing Lejarraga for the European title isn\’t something to be ignored, that invaluable experience will show at the domestic level and will make him a better boxer for that as he re-gathers and goes again. Defeats do not define sportsmen at any level.

Flatley 18-2-1 got back to winning ways in March out-pointing Kevin Dotel 58-56 over 6 rounds at the same venue as this Saturday, with the defeat in Spain now put behind him he looks to confirm his place as one of the top domestic fighters in the country.

Flatley vs Vazem

With his only other loss against the highly talented Harry Scarff, at 27 years of age, the Bolton man knows he has time on his side and is clearly wanting to be as active as possible and string some wins together across 2022 with the tough Russian Evgenii Vazem his obstacle on Saturday before manager Steve Wood prepares him for where he feels Jack Flatley belongs – challenging for titles.

THE UNDERCARD

Gaynor vs Vezhlivtsev

Liam Gaynor 8-1 faces off against Viktor Vezhlivtsev in what will be the Irishman\’s second match-up this year, expected for 6 rounds.

Gaynor has slipped on a banana skin before, losing to journeyman Ed Harrison in 2020, something he is not looking to repeat anytime soon and has notched up 3 straight wins since then.

McGuinness vs Richards

Greg McGuinness goes into his six-round scheduled bout with one knockout from his four pro outings notching up sixteen rounds against extremely experienced journeymen such as Jamie Quinn and Lee Connelly and this Saturday will get no easier facing off against Liam Richards who will be making his ninth professional showing. Another interesting match-up for McGuinness is to see how he deals with another varied style early on in his career.

Rest of the card:

Lennox Lythgoe, Jake Abrol and Owen Kirk all take the stage for their fourth bouts with records of 3-0 Lythgoe and Abrol will be looking to avoid any potential slip-ups that Heysham man, Kirk 2-1 had in his last outing against Jake Bray.

Quickly getting back on the saddle and looking to right the wrongs from April Owen Kirk is only 23 years of age and with the early setback of losing the four-round fight by just two points, it shouldn\’t affect him too much going forward.

Jack Flatley Headlines vs Evgenii Vazem

Bury\’s Marcus Tomlinson is making his second pro appearance in a scheduled four-round contest and there is a debut for local boy Samir Aftab.

With the recent well-matched cards produced in Salford, Hull and Liverpool – Steve Wood and VIP promotions have another card that fans can get their teeth into. Live updates throughout and the card will be available on their YouTube channel the following day!
