Yvan Mendy Faces Mandatory Challenger Denys Berinchyk In London
According to Retour News, France’s Yvan Mendy (47-5-1, 22 KOs) will defend his European lightweight championship against mandatory challenger, Ukrainian Denys Berinchyk (16-0, 9 KOs) in his next contest.
The fight will take place on the undercard of Daniel Dubois on the 26th of November at London’s O2 Arena, a Frank Warren/Queensberry Promotions card live on BT Sport.

Per the French newspaper, Frank Warren purchased the rights. There was also interest from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
Berinchyk, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist, is represented by Alex Krassyuk who also represents unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk potentially explaining why UK promoters attempted to stage the fight.
