Oleksandr Usyk Backs Moses Itauma All The Way

“Moses Itauma, I think, is a great fighter,” Usyk revealed. “Young. 20 years old. I think Itauma has a big future.”

It’s high praise from a man who has faced and beaten the best. Itauma, an exciting British prospect, has been making waves in the heavyweight scene. He recently improved his record to 11-0 with a devastating first-round stoppage of Demsey McKean, showing the kind of power and composure that could make him a serious threat at the top level.

Itauma has been highly touted as the man to beat Mike Tyson’s record for being the youngest heavyweight world champion, though he only has a few months to do it.

One opponent that could cement this record for the Chatham fighter is Kubrat Pulev, who currently holds the WBA Regular belt.

Itauma was most recently called out by former world-champion, Charles Martin.

With Usyk’s seal of approval and a string of dominant performances, Itauma is quickly becoming one to watch. If he continues on this trajectory, he may just prove Usyk right.
