‘I’ll Rip Your F***ing Adam’s Apple Out’ – Caleb Plant & Edgar Berlanga Blast Eachother in Heated Messages
Caleb Plant & Edgar Berlanga have engaged in a heated exchange on social media, both in and out of their direct messages, which have now been made public. This comes after Plant called for the fight against Berlanga next, following his win over Trevor McCumby, and Berlanga’s loss to common opponent, Canelo Alvarez.
Caleb Plant last fought in September, on the undercard of Canelo vs Edgar Berlanga. He faced then-28-0 Trevor McCumby, and despite some hardship early on, with Plant down in Round 4, the former IBF champion stopped McCumby in Round 9, taking his record to 23-2. His only two losses come at the hands of Canelo, and, in what many fans saw as a battle of two halves, David Benavidez.
Edgar Berlanga also lost to Canelo, though whilst Plant was stopped in Round 11, Berlanga went the distance with the P4P Mexican. However, many think Berlanga never tried to win, but only to survive, with Canelo winning by scores of 118-109 x2 and 117-110, whereas Plant went out on his shield, with one judge scoring the fight 96-94 to Canelo after ten rounds.
Caleb Plant & Edgar Berlanga Exchange Words
Caleb Plant took to social media yesterday, posting a fictional fight poster of himself and Berlanga.
In response to this, Berlanga publicly posted his private DMs with Plant, though deleted the post shortly after.
The pair seem set to collide at some point or another, with both on the redemption path following their respective losses. It remains to be seen when this fight may happen, and, with Berlanga also calling out the likes of Jermall Charlo, if it happens at all.
