The rivalry between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury has flared up once again after Paul made a public offer to fight Fury in 2025.
Paul took to social media, tweeting: “I’m offering Tommy Fury $3 million to fight me in 2025. The number is $4 million if he can legally get into the US. Let’s see who is ducking who.”
Jake Paul said that Netflix had expressed interest in hosting the rematch, which at this point is undoubtedly the biggest fight for both men, especially, funnily enough, Fury.
Tommy Fury Responds to Jake Paul Callout
Tommy Fury quickly dismissed the offer, responding on X: “No worries at all mate, hope that loss doesn’t eat you up too much. Just know, that you never had enough balls to try and avenge your loss. You’re right, we are different… I’m a winner and you’re a loser.”
The British boxer, who handed Paul his only professional loss in 2023, the same year he also gave KSI his own first loss, continued to push back against the proposed rematch terms:
“Why would I agree to that when it’s less than our first fight AND I beat you? You’re deluded. You claim to be a good businessman, if you want to talk business properly, I’m there. But don’t throw me stupid offers you know won’t get accepted.”
Paul and Fury first fought in February 2023, with Fury winning by split decision, though Paul did have his moments, and even scored a knockdown against the brother of Tyson Fury in the eighth round.
Since then, Jake Paul has continued his boxing career, taking on MMA fighters like Nate Diaz, as well as low-level boxers like Andre August, whilst Fury has had just one fight since facing Paul, and has not fought since the KSI fight in the back-end of 2023.
While no official negotiations have been confirmed, the latest exchange suggests the tension between the two remains strong.
Whether a rematch will materialise remains to be seen, but it seems like a high-risk, low reward for Fury if he truly has aspirations in the sport, and the payday will have to be significant if Fury is to risk it all against Paul once more.
