Popular podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has spoken on his feud with a former boxing world champion.
On his podcast, Rogan commented on the former world champion, suggesting that the legend, who fought the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, was “a little off the rails these days” whilst speaking to director Peter Berg in his episode three weeks ago.
Oscar De La Hoya Fires Back at Joe Rogan
The fighter was Oscar De La Hoya, who fired back against Rogan after his comments, accusing Rogan of unfairly targeting him: “Joe, it must be in your contract to say ill on me and not say one nice word about me,”
The ‘Golden Boy’ did not stop there though, and continued: “Bro, stop being petty. You refuse to put me on your podcast when the majority of your content is MMA or boxing-centred. I get it—Daddy Dana [White] will not let you have me on.”
De La Hoya then proposed a high-stakes interview: “Let me propose something, and this will be the highest-rated show you’ll ever do. Have me and your daddy Dana on the podcast together. You can moderate, two against one. And I’m fine with that because I’m an open book.”
He also took issue with Rogan’s “off the rails” comment: “Really? Alright, let’s take a look at your evolution over the last fifteen years.”
This is not the first time Rogan has spoken ill of De La Hoya, as he also once commented on his “fake abs”: “Why has Oscar De La Hoya got fake abs?”
As the war of words escalates, it remains to be seen if Rogan will respond—or accept De La Hoya’s challenge.
