Shakur Stevenson Issues Warning to Gervonta ‘TANK’ Davies and Floyd Schofield
Undefeated WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson has issued a warning to lightweight rivals Gervonta ‘TANK’ Davies and Floyd Schofield following his commanding stoppage victory against Josh Padley.

Stevenson dropped Padley three times in the ninth round of their contest with body shots before the challengers team threw in the towel.
The previously unbeaten Brit stepped in to face Stevenson on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev v Dimitri Bivol 2 after original opponent Schofield dropped out on fight week due to illness.
Gervonta ‘TANK’ Davies Responds to Shakur Stevenson’s Victory
Following the victory the three weight world champion was asked his opinion of a social media post from Davies appearing to laugh at Stevenson’s performance.
“He’s got a fight next week, it seems like he’s focused on me and Lamont Roach is focused on him, I think I’m going to put my bet on Lamont Roach,” stated Stevenson.

Despite suggesting that he feels Davies could be beaten by Roach in his WBA lightweight title defence, he agreed that the pair are destined to battle if Davies secures victory on March 1st in Brooklyn.

“It’s the two best fighters in boxing, Gervonta Tank Davis is a hell of a fighter I keep telling you all he’s got great skills but I’m better than him, I’m better than him at hit and don’t get hit and he can’t beat me,” said the champion.
Stevenson Responds to Floyd Schofield’s Fight Week Withdrawal
“He’s a power puncher, he’s a guy that’s trying to knock you out, I’m a guy thats trying to break you down, pick you apart, when if the knockout comes it comes, two different styles but I’m better than him at the art of boxing.” he added.
The 27-year-old was also questioned on whether he would be interested in rescheduling a bout with his original opponent Schofield in the future.
“Why would I, at the end of the day the higher ups didn’t want this fight to happen. I made this fight happen, I pushed for Floyd Schofield to come out here and give him the biggest payday of his career, he slapped me in the face when he did what he did,” said Stevenson.
