Jaime Munguia Fails B Sample Drug Test After Surace Fight

With both samples testing positive, Munguia now faces disciplinary action from the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC). The ruling body could issue a suspension and financial penalties, and his win over Surace is expected to be overturned to a no contest.

Munguia had won the fight via unanimous decision in Riyadh, avenging a prior knockout loss to Surace last December. The B-sample confirmation now places that result in jeopardy.

An official hearing date with the BBBofC is yet to be announced. Munguia has not commented publicly since the second test result was confirmed.
