Another fight rumoured for the card is 21-0 ‘Bam’ Rodriguez vs 52-4 Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez. Gonzalez’s losses come at the hands of Juan Estrada and Wisaksil Wangek, both of whom have been defeated by Rodriguez.
Shakur Stevenson vs Floyd Schofield
With William Zepeda suffering an injury on his way to a split-decision win over Tevin Farmer, Eddie Hearn has revealed that a ‘massive offer’ has been made for Shakur Stevenson vs Floyd Schofield. Schofield is a rising prospect with a record of 18-0.
Jaron Ennis vs Vergil Ortiz Jr.
Following Ennis’ win over Karen Chukhadzhian and Ortiz’s win over Serhii Bohachuk, the pair seem destined to clash on the Saudi mega-card. With welterweight supremacy at stake, this bout could pave the way for a future showdown with the division’s biggest names.
Hamzah Sheeraz vs Carlos Adames
After pulling out of the ordered fight against world champion, Janibek Alimkhanuly, it seemed Frank Warren’s declaration that Sheeraz would fight for a title might not prove fruitful. However, it now seems apparent that Sheeraz will instead face Carlos Adames in his first world title challenge, after winning the European title from Tyler Denny in destructive fashion.
Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel
After seemingly both avoiding Martin Bakole, Zhilei Zhang could face off against Agit Kabayel in the biggest Riyadh Season card to date. Kabayel comes off a win over Frank Sanchez and Arslanbek Makhmudov, whereas Zhang comes off a loss to Joseph Parker and a win over Deontay Wilder.
Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev 2
In what was potentially the fight of the year, Dmitry Bivol faced off against Artur Beterbiev for the Undisputed Light Heavyweight titles in Saudi Arabia, with Beterbiev winning a very close fight. Many viewers, including Eddie Hearn and Turki Alalshikh had Bivol winning the fight, and a rematch is certain to deliver.
Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker
With the Anthony Joshua rematch off the cards, Dubois seeks to continue his dominant run of form in February. Joseph Parker has called for his shot at the title, after defeating the likes of Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder, and fans are excited to see Dubois give Parker his chance at the heavyweight crown.
