Fabio Wardley is riding high after a dominant first-round stoppage win over Frazer Clarke, and now Frank Warren has teased that something big is on the horizon for the British heavyweight champion.

Wardley, now 18-0-1, has built a reputation as one of the most exciting fighters in the UK’s heavyweight scene recently. His two recent battles with Clarke saw him first go the distance in a hard-fought draw before leaving no doubt in their rematch, stopping the Olympic bronze medallist in just one round. Prior to that, he had stopped David Adeleye in a thrilling grudge match on the Fury-Ngannou undercard.

Speaking about what’s next, Warren remained tight-lipped but promised that Wardley’s next fight would be “extra special’ adding that “Fabio is the man and deserves this next big fight.”

Warren concluded, “You wait until we announce Fabio’s next fight. I’m telling you, you are going to love it.”

Wardley has made no secret of the fact he’d like to fight at Portman Road Stadium, the home of Ipswich Town, and this may well come to fruition.
