The Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley card is well underway at London’s O2 Arena, but many fighting fans feel as though they are being cheated by the overpriced card.
Recently, DAZN announced that they would be implementing ‘The Ring Pass’, a new subscription tier that will include all PPV fights for subscribers.
The pass is supposed to launch in November, though fans are curious just how long this model can last, as DAZN’s initial appeal to begin with was that it marked the end of pay-per-view.
Such a model would seemingly be embraced by fans depending on its affordability, as DAZN has not only not killed the PPV model to date, but is currently staging what many see as the most overpriced PPV in recent months.

Overpriced Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley PPV criticised by fans
Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley are currently in their changing rooms in London’s iconic venue, ready to face off in an interim world title bout.
Parker won the WBO interim world title with a win over Zhilei Zhang, which he followed up with a dominant second-round KO of Martin Bakole.
Wardley, meanwhile, won his WBA interim title after defeating Justis Huni in a fight that saw Wardley outboxed for nine rounds before he was able to deliver a stunning knockout blow.

Now, the pair will stand opposite each other, with the winner eyeing an undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk, who demolished Daniel Dubois for a second time in his last fight.
The main event is an exciting fight between an experienced operator and a huge puncher, though to others it is merely a huge mismatch, but it is not the main event that has fans up in arms.
Despite being a non-title fight, with almost no notable fights on the undercard, Parker vs Wardley is being sold at a price of £25.
The undercard is extremely thin in terms of exciting fighters, and has prompted some choice words from fans.
One said on X: “Not for £25 when I pay a subscription. Robbers”
It remains to be seen just how many PPV buys this card will get, though such a high price point for a lacklustre card could spell trouble for DAZN if they don’t implement change, and soon.
