2020 Olympic Gold Medalist Lauren Price and her partner, also a 2020 Olympian, Karriss Artingstall will turn professional with Promoter Ben Shalom’s Boxxer to fight exclusively on Sky Sports Boxing in the UK. Boxxer/Sky now have a total of 4 Olympians making them the most successful in the UK with the only olympian planning to turn pro left being Ben Whittaker.
Lauren Price, the 27-year-old from Newport, competed in the middleweight division in the amateurs and is expected to turn pro also at middleweight. A very keen athlete, she is a former Cardiff City FC Football player and four-time world champion kickboxer.
Price remarkably had her first amateur bout at 17 and went on to compete at the European and Youth World Championships after just one amateur fight.
Price was a vastly successful amateur. In addition to her Olympic Gold Medalist, she was a 3-time European bronze medalist, a Commonwealth Games and World Championships gold medalist and a competitor in over 60 amateur contests.
Her partner Karriss Aringstall is also 27-years-old and won bronze at Tokyo, 2020 in the featherweight division. She also has a world championship bronze and European championship silver to her name. Outside of boxing, Artingstall is a Gunner in the British army.
