Caroline Dubois (11-0-1, 5KO) retained her WBC World lightweight title via majority decision in a heavy hitting war against a game Bo Mi Re Shin (18-3-2, 10KO).

The South Korean challenger had a reputation of being an aggressive front foot fighter and that’s exactly what she brought as she looked to apply relentless pressure to the champion and really impressed in her debut world title contest.

Although not having it all her own way in what can be described as her toughest test to date Dubois maintained her unbeaten record with scorecards of 95-95, 98-93, 98-92. There will now be calls for bouts with Beatriz Ferreira (6-0, 2KO) and Elif Nur Turhan (10-0, 6KO).

Unbeaten prospect Francesca Hennessy (6-0, 1KO) opened the night with a shutout victory against late opponent Gemma Reugg (8-13-1, 1KO).
