IBA President Umar Kremlev has offered Tyson Fury what he calls a ‘beautiful farewell’, an opportunity to capture their version of the world title.
Fury was invited to Istanbul, Turkey, this week for the governing body’s Golden Era event, which was a chance to discuss a potential future showdown for the ‘Gypsy King’.
The event, attended by some of the biggest names in boxing and entertainment, saw the IBA showcase several initiatives aimed at shaping the future of the evolving organisation.
“We are happy to see you here, supporting and promoting boxing,” Kremlev told the former unified heavyweight champion.
He added, “We would love to make a professional fight for you (Fury), a farewell bout, as the king of boxing. One final, beautiful fight to say farewell. You started your career with the IBA, so you have to complete your career with IBA.”
With the boxing community eagerly anticipating Fury’s next move, Kremlev took the opportunity to make an audacious bid to have Fury see out his career on an IBA show, with a bout for the IBA heavyweight title in Moscow.
“Just give me the date, and you can bring your team and family with you. We will send a jet to pick you up and bring you. We do not have bears walking around, despite people’s misconceptions, so please bring your family and your team.”

Tyson Fury Calls For Trilogy With Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury last appeared in the ring in 2024, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch, a bout he declared would be his last as he announced yet another retirement from the sweet science.
But it seems the lure of the ring has drawn Fury back once again, as he called for a trilogy bout with Usyk while in Turkey for the IBA event.
“If I was going to come back, I’d come back for Usyk, but I want a fair result in England,” said Fury, teasing his return. “That would be the one I want. That would be the fight I’d want next.”
Turki Alalshikh also urged Tyson Fury to return, seeking vengeance against his Ukrainian rival, with a potential 2026 showdown between the pair already being discussed.
“The Gypsy King will be back,” Alalshikh said. “I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in a Riyadh Season (event) in 2026. We have a rabbit to hunt.”
The 36-year-old Fury later shared a post on social media suggesting that he and Usyk had reached an agreement to face off at Wembley Stadium on April 18, 2026.
