Heavyweight Star Dillian Whyte Debuts On DAZN

Whyte challenged WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, at England’s national stadium earlier this year but suffered a convincing sixth-round stoppage defeat. Franklin marks the beginning of an ascent to a second world title chance.

A major pay-per-view, stadium headliner fight with Anthony Joshua early next year has been dangled at Whyte should he be able to get through Franklin unscathed. Franklin hopes to upset ‘The Body Snatcher’ and instead face Joshua next spring.

Whyte vs Franklin will be live on sports streaming service DAZN around the world (excluding Australia and New Zealand). DAZN is available to subscribe to for £7.99, a subscription will also enable you to watch Estrada Chocolatitio 3 on Dec 3, and Josh Warrington vs Luis Alberto Lopez on Dec 10 amongst other DAZN events in the next four weeks.

The main card action starts at 7:00 pm BST (2 pm ET, 11 am PT) and is expected to feature at least five fights. As well as Whyte Franklin, viewers will be treated to Fabio Wardley vs Nathan Gorman for the British Heavyweight title, Craig Richards vs Ricards Bolotniks in a really intriguing light heavyweight bout and more.

The preliminary action, shown on the Matchroom and DAZN YouTube channels, is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm BST (12:00 am ET, 9:00 am PT) and feature up-and-coming prospects including Team GB amateur standout Mark Dickinson, Irish Heavyweight hope Thomas Carty and debutant George Liddard.

Olympians Cheavon Clarke and Pat McCormack will also be on the card.
