Canelo vs Chris Eubank Jr: Eubank Jr The Favourite To Challenge for Super-Middleweight Titles
Briton, Chris Eubank Jr has emerged as the frontrunner to step in the ring with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
The reporter for Boxing on ESPN, Salvador Rodriguez (@ChavaESPN), stated in a tweet that Canelo vs Chris Eubank Jr is now a fight to happen next and has now become ‘the favourite to close an agreement’.
Chris Eubank Jr last fought in September of last year where he avenged his loss over fellow Brit, Liam Smith after being victim of a TKO in their previous fight last January.
It was widely expected that he would be looking for what could be one of his last big paydays. It seemed likely to fight rival, Conor Benn before the latter was suspended again for testing positive for a banned substance when the two were originally scheduled to fight.

Chris Eubank Jr was previously Super-Middleweight champion twice when he beat Renold Quinlan in 2017 for the IBO title, before losing it to George Groves a year after but then reclaiming it against James DeGale.
He will be looking to become a three-time super-middleweight champion if he beats Canelo and will become undisputed if he does so.

Reigning Undisputed Super-Middleweight champion, Saul Alvarez has previously fought and beaten 8 British opponents during his career spanning 18 years and will look to add another name to his record should this fight get made.
Other names that he could potentially face include David Benavidez, who recently fought and won at light-heavyweight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk, as well as former undisputed light-welterweight and former undisputed welterweight champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford.
Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh has been vocal in his desire to make the fight between Canelo and Terence Crawford happen but after recent reports, this looks unlikely to be next.
