Team GB Olympic Star Inks Advisory Deal With Sam Jones Ahead Of Switch To Professional Boxing

Pat Brown Signs Advisory Deal

24-year-old Pat Brown, from Sale, Greater Manchester, will turn professional in the coming months under the guidance of one of Britain’s top boxing managers/advisors, Sam Jones.

Pat Brown’s journey in the 2024 Summer Olympics for Team GB was cut short when he lost a controversial 4-1 split decision to Keno Machado in the round of 16.

He has an all-action style which has impressed so far in the amateur code but many have felt that the Team GB Heavyweight is better suited to the pro ranks and his best days will come after making the switch.

Pat Brown Turning Pro In Boxing

Brown tips his hat to the unpaid game after 70+ fights spanning over a decade. He had his first fight at 11 years old, 4 years after he put on the gloves for the first time.

Brown will be advised by Sam Jones, who also handles the career of Jack Catterall amongst other fighters. Catterall is trained by Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis – who also coaches Brown.

NoSmokeBoxing understands that a promotional agreement is now being worked on for Brown.

One source not involved in the negotiations for Brown’s promotional contract said that Brown was the “most sought-after commodity” by boxing promoters from the 2024 British Olympic squad.

Eddie Hearn, the chairman of Matchroom Boxing, previously named Brown as a boxer he would like to add to his world-class stable. “Pat Brown, I think is going to be a really exciting pro fighter. He’s going to sell a lot of tickets.”
