Sources have confirmed that Jake Paul is set to face off against his most dangerous opponent yet in the ring against the legendary mixed martial artist, Anderson Silva in just a few months’ time on October 29th in Phoenix, Arizona and shown live on Showtime PPV.
This news comes just months after Jake was set to fight Tommy Fury in the USA, but plans were swiftly halted after Tommy Fury was denied entry to the United States while attempting to board a fight.
Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva
Jake Paul is still yet to fight a prime, active professional boxer and the pressure may increase for him to do so after fellow YouTube sensation KSI fought a registered active boxer at the weekend. But, many will feel that fighting someone with Silva’s experience in mixed martial arts and combat sports is a stiff test or maybe a step too far for Paul.
Paul is becoming somewhat of a force in the boxing scene recently, which was only heightened by his involvement in co-promoting the fight at Madison Square Garden between female boxing legends Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano
With the Silva fight being rumoured to take place on October 29th, it is expected that official announcements may come within the next week or so, so keep your eyes peeled, and don’t forget you heard it here first.
